International Women's Day is actually the story of ordinary women fetched the historical record; a centuries-old struggle to be able to participate in society, as well as men. 1909:

1910:
International socialist group meeting in Copenhagen, Denmark, decided to had an International Women's Day in honor of women's rights and encourage obtaining voting rights for all women in the world. At that time, they have not decided on how the anniversary will be held.

1911:
As a follow-up of decisions taken a year ago, International Women's Day was celebrated for the first time (on March 19) in Austria, Denmark, Germany and Switzerland, where more than a million women and men together took to the streets. In addition to the right to participate in elections and positions in government, they demanded the right to work, the opportunity to obtain training, and the elimination of discrimination in employment.

Less than a week since the warning, on March 25, a tragic incident occurred in New York that killed more than 140 female workers who are mostly Italian and Jewish immigrants. This greatly affects the occurrence of labor legislation in the United States and working conditions that led to this incident occurred later denounced all-out during the International Women's Day next year.

1913-1914
As part of the peace effort that developed during World War I, Russian women to commemorate International Women's Day for the first time on the last Sunday in February 1913. In other parts of Europe, on or about March 8 in the next year, women rallied well to protesting the war and as an expression of solidarity to the brothers and sisters everywhere.

1917
Because two million Russian soldiers killed in the war, Russian women again took to the streets on the day of the last week in February called "Bread and Peace". Political leaders opposed the protest, but the woman survived. And history records that four days later, the Czar (king) abdicate and the provisional government recognized the right of women to participate in elections. Historic day it falls on February 23 in the Julian calendar used in Russia or the March 8, according to the Gregorian calendar (the Gregorian calendar which we also use). And from that moment on International Women's Day is celebrated on the same day by women all over the world.
